West News Update
October 2017
West Walk-A-Thon Fundraiser
During the Walk-A-Thon, Dutch Bros. Coffee and Kona Ice will be at West. Students can bring additional money to purchase items from these vendors.
Thank you to all who will be participating in this event! It brings in funds to support student field trips and expand our learning in other areas outside of the West campus.
Parents/guardians, we always appreciate your support of these events. If you are able to be a part of this call the school office and speak with Mrs. Overstreet.
Safety Series
On October 12th professionals will discuss Bullying/Gang/Drug Awareness. Nampa Police Department representatives will present. It will take place from 6:00-8:00 pm at West Middle School with snacks provided.
NO SCHOOL
October 27th there is no school for teachers to compute grades at the end of Quarter 1.
Parent/ Teacher Conferences
Picture Make-up Day
DSP After School Program
Busing is now available! It will pick students up at West and depart at 4:30 pm. In order to participate in busing students must prearrange their attendance. It is a must that students get home safely . Having predetermined students allows Brown Bus Company to build predetermined bus routes and keep our students safe.
Students sign up for DSP or are assigned by their teacher the week prior. We submit names and addresses to Brown Bus Company and they build the route for the following week. This is a GREAT option to support students with additional learning time and adult support. Encourage your student to sign up if they are struggling!
