Thank You!
The SUMMIT staff would like to thank all sponsors who sponsored a student from our Mentorship, Internship, Cadet Teaching or Elementary Aid classes. Our students gain so much by your mentoring them and the knowledge gained would not happen without you.
Also, a huge thank you to all volunteers that judged our students’ Extended Applications this year; we hope you enjoyed listening to our student’s presentations and we look forward to having you back to judge next school year.
Plan Summer College Visits
Summer is the perfect time for parents of juniors to help their soon-to-be senior concentrate on what career and college plans their student will pursue after high school. The SUMMIT Career Center has a handout on suggested questions to ask when you are visiting a college. If you want some direction on which colleges or technical schools to visit, the SUMMIT staff or your guidance counselor would be glad to schedule an appointment with you and your student. Call Lisa Roberts at 387-5034 x3 or Guidance at 541-386-2770.
Volunteers – We Appreciate All of You Very Much
Thank you to all our volunteers that have contributed so much of their time this year. Our students have really gained from the help that they have received from you!
COMMUNITY AND CAMPUS PRIDE WORK DAY 2016 RECAP
389 students turned in contracts to participate in our Community and Campus Pride Work Day on April 27th. 75 of those students worked their 5 hours at the high school; a lot of cleaning and “Pridyfing” was done and students did an outstanding job. 26 students worked at nonprofit organizations (Fish Food Bank Garden, Columbia Land Trust and H.R.C. Library) where they were not charged the $50. Money raised this year came back to the school and will be used in conjunction with our Booster Club to purchase a name/reader board. The day was a great success all the way around.
