Tasmanian Forester Kangaroo
An Endangered Animal of Australia
Description
- Male can be up to 2 meters tall, woman up to 1.5 meters tall
- Light brown or gray fur
- Life span around 10 years
- Large feet for jumping, and many kangaroos are blind
- Largest marsupials in Tasmania
Adaptation
- Jaw is very strong because of what food it eats
- Teeth grow back fast and many times
- Powerful legs
- Many are blind, but able to get around
Food Chain
- Kangaroos don't hunt, are herbavoirs
- Hunted bye lion, megalania, wonambi, and foxes
- Large feet, able to jump long distance
- Not very powerful
Endangerment
- Most of Tasmania is gone for kangaroos to live
- Hunting is a popular thing done by humans and animals
- 4,000 killed every year
Conservation
- Parts of Tasmania have been reserved for the animal
- Hunting the forester kangaroo is now illegal
