Paws for PRIDE . . .
We are celebrating the character trait of PRIDE for the months of September and October. Congratulations to last week's Paws for PRIDE winners: Dominic Garrafa, Cailyn LaRosa, Miss Brennan, Sophie Colella, Gianna Kramer, Chase Sauder, Audrey Im, and Dylan Meister.
These students and teachers were chosen at random to be recognized and celebrated for demonstrating one of our five character traits - Pride, Respect, Individual Responsibility, Determination & Empathy. Thank you to all of the Titus families for your support of our Paws for PRIDE program.
A Note From CB South . . .
CB South Athletic Director, Danielle Turner:
Students in grades 1-8 who plan on attending any CB South sporting events must be accompanied by an adult for entry into games. Any student who is not accompanied by an adult, will not be permitted to attend the game even with a ticket purchase.
Don't Forget Clearances for 2016. . .
I wanted to reiterate some important information that has been shared throughout the past year in preparation for the 2016-2017 school year regarding clearances.
Titus will expect all potential volunteers to complete their paperwork for clearances prior to assuming any volunteer/chaperone role within the school. This will ensure we are in line with district and state expectations.
Who Needs Clearances: An individual who is responsible for the child’s welfare or has direct volunteer contact with children.
Direct Volunteer Contact – The care, supervision, guidance, or control of children and routine interaction with children
Routine Interaction – Regular and repeated contact that is integral to a person’s employment or volunteer responsibilities.
Person Responsible for Child’s Welfare – Person who provides permanent or temporary care, supervision, mental health diagnosis or treatment, training or control of a child in lieu of parental care, supervision and control. Includes any such person who has direct or regular contact with a child through any program, activity, or service sponsored by a school, for-profit organization or religious or other not for profit organization.
Additional information and steps on how to complete your clearances can be found on our district web site by clicking here.

Race 4 Ed Volunteers Needed
The Home & School Association could really use your help with all of the pre-Race for Education activities. We are looking for volunteers to help with writing out mailers for our younger students. If you are interested, and can spare some time on September 27th or 28th, please click here to see the available times.
The Home & School Association has another opportunity for you to assist with pre-Race day preparations. We need help with folding, sealing, and stamping our mailers. We have lots of mailers to send so we can use all the help we can get! Please check out the sign-up genius, by clicking here, for available time slots on September 29th & 30th.
A Home and School Representative will be on site during all volunteer times slots. Contact Wanda Rumford with any questions.
Race 4 Education - Stamps Needed . . .
Just a reminder that H&S is still accepting stamp donations for Race for Education. If you would like to donate a book of stamps or a financial donation towards the purchase of stamps.
Thank you to everyone who has already donated!
