Facts with Mrs. Stevenson by Madi Kammer
What’s up gators! It’s Madi Kammer. It is that time of year where I get to interview the principle every month! Here are a few answers from our great principal Mrs.Stevenson;
1:Her birthday is June 8th.
2:Mrs.Stevenson’s favorite part about SC is knowing the students and their families along with the school spirit.
3:The reason she became a principal was helping more than just 25 students in the classroom.
4:Mrs.Stevenston’s favorite sports are running and now paddle boarding!
(She has completed 15 half- marathons and 1 marathon for running)
5:She loves paddle boarding because it’s challenging and she has to keep her balance, and it is quiet in the morning,and last but not least watching the boaters.
That is it for this month gators. Tune in for next month for another Facts With Mrs.Stevenson and don’t forget to keep an eye out for her and tell her how awesome she is! Bye gators!

Talking to Teachers by Christian Castillo
Hi Gators! Do you want to know all about the teachers and what they are doing? Then this is the article for you. Every month a new teacher will be picked to see what or when they will be doing something really fun. One month it might even be your favorite teacher in the paper!
This month, Mrs. Miller is going to be our first featured teacher. I sat down with her to discuss some cool things she is going to be doing with her class in September.
According to Mrs. Miller, homework starts in her class this month, as well as Book-It and chomputation tests. Some interesting topics she has covered with her students already this school year includes: talking about animal body parts and how they move, discussing friendships and family, and growing to be better Gators. So far her class has done fun activities such as playing math games in the sand, using a Play-Doh station, and doing a five senses taste test. When I asked her if there was anything else she wanted to add, she said “Kindergarten is working hard for life possibilities.”
Well Gators, that sums up this edition of the article. Stay tuned next month to find out everything you need to know about one special first grade teacher in “Talking to the Teachers.”
