Locker Numbers
Your student's locker number is listed under the locker tab in Infinite Campus.
Student locker numbers will also be provided on a printed schedule given to families at our Student/Parent Walkthrough on Wednesday, August 10. Our middle schools will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m on this day.
ABC Days
Beginning this year, social studies and science classes will be taught in either 40-minute periods on the same day or in 80-minute blocked classes on alternating days.
We have created an ABC Day schedule to provide students, teachers, and families clarity as to which classes students will attend each day.
On "A" days, students will attend both their social studies and science class for 40 minutes each.
On "B" & "C" days, students will attend either their social studies or science class for 80 minutes.
Below is a link to a calendar of school days, and the designated schedule (A, B, or C) for each of those days.
PLTW (Project Lead the Way) Course
One of our Enrichment rotation classes on the 2022-23 schedule is titled PLTW (Project Lead the Way). This class was formerly known as Pre-Engineering Technology.
Students attend this class for two consecutive quarters, either during the first or second half of the school year.
Descriptions of the coursework for each grade level are listed below.
6th Grade - Design and Modeling
This unit uses solid modeling software (a sophisticated mathematical technique for representing solid objects) as part of the design process. Utilizing this design approach, students understand how design influences their lives. Students also learn sketching techniques and use descriptive geometry as a component of design, measurement and computer modeling. Students brainstorm, research, develop ideas, create models, test and evaluate design ideas and communicate solutions.
7th Grade - Flight and Space
Students study the history of aerospace through hands-on activities, research and a presentation in the form of an infomercial. Students explore the science behind aeronautics and use their knowledge to design, build and test a model glider. Simulation software is used to expose students to traveling and living in space.
8th Grade - Automation and Robotics
Students trace the history, development, and influence of automation and robotics. They learn about mechanical systems, energy transfer, machine automation and computer control systems. Students acquire knowledge and skills in problem solving, teamwork, collaboration and innovation.
Student / Parent Walkthrough
