Halloween Parade
If you do not wish for your child to partake in the annual parade, please let the classroom teacher know. If we have inclement weather (rain or snow), we will cancel the outside parade.
Mix It Up Day ... from Mrs. Gerber
On Thursday 4th and 5th grade students celebrated Mix it Up at Lunch Day. This is a nationwide event that is done to promote social acceptance.
Students were assigned new seats at lunch and got to know each other by answering fun questions like:
- - Would you rather eat nothing but bananas or oranges?
- - Would you rather eat a spider or a cockroach?
- - If you could be any animal what would you choose?
Thanks to our PTA, Volunteers and Monitors who helped to make sure this was a successful event!
Standards-Based Grading (K-1-2)
Therefore, if a percentage is also displayed, please pay attention to only the M (Mastery of the Standard), P (Progress towards the Standard) or N (Needs Improvement to meet the Standard).
The same is TRUE for our ENCORE Classes when it comes the M-P-N versus percentage (%) displayed.

Growth Mindset vs a Fixed Mindset
Growth Mindset tip of the week ... SAY THIS: "I can see you worked hard on this," in place of or rather instead of: "You are so smart!" The growth mindset example of say this helps your children understand you value their effort. For more examples, go HERE.
