- MAP testing will be taking place on the following dates in April and May. Please try to schedule appointments outside of these testing dates. Thank you!
- Next year students will be using the Oak Bend Branch of the St. Louis County Library as one of their main sources for library books. Each team will take a field trip to the Oak Bend Branch once a month with both their ELA teacher and Mrs. Tumminello. Please complete the application for a St. Louis County Library card and return it to your 7th Grade ELA teacher the library, or the front office as soon as possible. If you already have a SLCL card please send back the application with your child's card number so we can have it on file.
- We're looking for local businesses and professionals to partner with for our career fair on April 17th. The time commitment would be from 7:30am to 11am. We are hoping to find local businesses to speak to our kids about their career fields and professionals who are able to offer insight to our students about resume building, soft skills, and interviews.

Classroom Happenings
ELA: Mrs. Day & Mrs.Goosen
As we come to the end of our companion book we continued to focus on elaborating and explaining- especially in our symbolism chapter. We created covers for our companion books using canva. This assignment is posted in Classroom (Companion Book). We are encouraging students to think deeper about their reading by asking why and making connections.
Science: Mr. Geringer & Mrs. Oliver
Social Studies: Mrs. Goosen & Mr. Landolt
Goosen - Students are finishing their Economics unit. Students are creating an economy of their fictitious nation. We will finish the week by introducing our Human Rights Unit.
Landolt - Students spent the week developing an understanding of The Civil Rights Movement. They analyzed a timeline of events, and spent time listening to an interview with Ruby Bridges as well as researching Brown vs. Board of Education.
