August Newsletter
Welcome Back
We have nearly made it through our first week of school and I want to take a moment to share some news with you and to remind you of our arrival and dismissal procedures. I must commend all of you for working with the school on our new social distancing and mask wearing protocols. All of our students have done an amazing job following all of our expectations.
We have created zones on our playgrounds to allow for social distancing and each grade level has enjoyed two, twenty minute outdoor mask free recesses. Although many of our kindergartners still wear their face shields while at recess. Our PTO has agreed to purchase face shields for every student. You will receive an email from the classroom teacher about this. If you do not wish to receive a face shield please be sure to respond to that email.
ARRIVAL
Our doors open at 7:30 AM each day. Our teachers will be in their classrooms at that time so our students can go straight to the classroom. This allows us to avoid large gatherings in our cafeteria. Right now we have several parents dropping students off before 7:30 AM. This creates a large gathering in the front of our building while we wait for our teachers to get in place. Please help us avoid this by dropping off at the correct time.
We also want to remind parents to pull all the way down to the orange paw signs when dropping off. Have your child/children ready to exit on the passenger side. Parents can stay in the car to drop off quickly.
DISMISSAL
If you have transportation changes please contact the office with those changes by 1:00 PM. Car riders need to have a car tag. Just like with the arrival procedures we need parents to pull all the way down to the orange paw signs.

KNE Team it is that time of year. We will be accepting applications for our First Lego League until 9/14/2020. They are electronic this year so super easy. Students must be in 4th or 5th grade to participate. Click the link to sign up: https://forms.gle/NvHZWV6aJe72H8zX7
