MEET MRS. LISA MADISON
Why did you choose to teach at DMS?
Mrs. Madison already lived in Daphne and wanted to work close to home.
What is your expectation for your students?
She wants her students to learn to love reading. She also chooses interesting stories to read and tries to teach in exciting ways.
Have you ever taught or worked at a different school? How long have you been at DMS?
Mrs. Madison taught at Bay Minette Middle School for 11 years and it has been her 9th year at DMS.
Why did you choose to teach 8th grade Language Arts?
She loves to read and small children make her twitchy and high schoolers are self-centered.

Peer Helper Field Trip
On Monday, September 28 the DMS Peer Helpers took a field trip to the Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation Headquarters. While there, they covered the areas of secrets and trust. Secrets are precious and shouldn’t be told to just anybody. They had some people involved with the foundation speak as well; Mrs. Allison, the director of the foundation, spoke to them about the story of Jennifer Claire Moore and how the foundation came to be.
New Student Meet and Greet
Around 60 new students have registered at Daphne Middle School since the first of the school year. The DMS Peer Helpers have worked to make all new students feel welcomed and comfortable at our school by hosting a meet and greet. The new students and the Peer Helpers enjoyed a snack as they socialized during their break time. Everyone had a wonderful time!
