New Quarter, New Student Schedules.
Well, not really. Only a few students were issued a schedule change and they were informed of this change as well as their parents. Over 96% of Jefferson students will continue with the same classes and teachers in quarter 2 from quarter 1. This includes math, science, reading, writing, social science, special education, accelerated courses, and PE. The one change students will see Monday is their fine and practical arts course. So basically,
- students that had Music Q1 will go to Art in Q2,
- students that had Art in Q1 will go to Music in Q2,
- students in IT for Q1 will go to FCS in Q2, and
- students in FCS in Q1 go to IT for Q2.
For specifics to your student's schedule, please visit PowerSchool.

PE & Health Changes for 2nd Quarter
As second quarter approaches, the design and lay out of Jefferson PE will be changing slightly based on student feedback and educator collaboration. The study of fitness concepts through inquiry and development of projects will continue, however an emphasis on physical activity within synchronous and asynchronous time will also become a vital part of the structure. The purpose of this transition is to provide students a chance to experience different activity levels of their choice while building upon the healthy fitness components they have learned in first quarter. We are excited for this new adventure and look forward to further parent/student involvement and feedback throughout the next few weeks and months to come.
Sincerely,
Jefferson Physical Education Department
Hello Jefferson families,
Although we are not able to have our musical in the traditional sense, we are excited to start a remote drama project which we think kids and families will love: Zombies the Musical! Both cast and crew will have an opportunity to participate in the creation of this movie musical. Audition submissions are now due by Monday, November 2 and we hope to have a premiere in mid-December.
This link is a slideshow which describes the project, similar to our student and parent informational meeting. The description section of the slideshow contains all of the items required for auditions, and a Google Form that will serve as a permission slip for selected cast and crew.
Thank you for supporting Jefferson drama.
