Halloween is a Half Day of School
As a reminder, Monday, October 31st is a half day of school. Students will be dismissed according to the schedule below. Also, they do not need to bring a lunch to school that day.
Half Day Dismissal Times
Kindergarten – 5th Grade -- 7:55 am – 11:10 am
A.M. Early Childhood -- 7:55 am – 9:20 am
P.M. Early Childhood -- 9:45 am – 11:10 am
Preschool -- 9:40 am -10:40 am
Fernway's Halloween Parade
We are looking forward to seeing all of the amazing Halloween costumes on Monday. Students are allowed to wear their costumes to school that day. Costumes must be school appropriate. Any weapon props and masks that cover the entire face should not be brought to school.
As long as the weather allows, we will have a costume parade for parents at 8:30 outside the school. Parents are welcome to find a spot outside the school to wave to the spooky students as they parade by. Please do not stand on the sidewalk or walkway that goes around the school, as this is where students will be walking.
If the weather is rainy, we will allow parents into the gym and commons to watch our students parade past. Please stay within the areas blocked off for parents.
We will also video our parade and post it to our Facebook page for any parents that are not able to attend the parade.
CLASSROOM HALLOWEEN PARTIES
The parties are from 9:30to 10:30. Room parents who plan on taking their child(ren) home with them after the party MUST sign them out in the classroom. In addition, if a room parent is taking a child home that is not theirs, we MUST have a note from that child's parent. We cannot release any child after the party unless we have parent permission.
A reminder to our room parents, we will have your ID badges on a table in the commons for you to check in. If you were not able to make it up to school to pre-check in, you will need to stop in the office, show your ID, and get an ID badge printed. Siblings are not allowed to attend parties.
