A Year With Frog and Toad is a musical based on the Frog and Toad children's stories written and illustrated by Arnold Lobel. The musical follows the woodland adventures of two amphibious friends, a worrywart toad and a perky frog, along with their assorted colorful burrowing, crawling and flying friends, over the course of a year.
Holiday Giving Tree
Hello Holton Community!
This year, we wanted to extend the opportunity for others to connect with our students in a personal way by creating a Holiday Giving Tree. Here is how it works:
Choose a Little Lion tag. Each tag represents one Holton student and will contain clothing sizes and 3 wish list items for that student.
Note your tag number, scan the QR code on the back of your tag and complete the Google Form. This is how we are tracking which tags have been chosen and by whom. This information will only be used by our Student Support Team. Giving Tree recipients will not know who chose them.
Shop! There are no minimums or maximums - we are only asking that you give what you can using the information on the tags as a guide.
Return your gifts to Holton - it is your choice to wrap them or not. Please make sure that the tag or tag number is visible on your gift so that we know who it belongs to.
Our Giving Tree will be stationed in the school lobby near the gym beginning November 14, 2022. Parents, families and staff are welcome to participate. All gifts must be returned to Holton by noon on December 12, 2022 to allow us time to prepare for distribution.
If you would like to participate but cannot access the physical tree in our building, please reach out and we will assist you. Please direct any questions or concerns to our Student Support Team:

Upcoming Community Events
Linwood Holton's participation in the Tots-for-Toys Drive
To participate and to be entered into the district-wide raffle drawing for a new bike, students are being asked to bring in and give to their homeroom teacher one, new, and unwrapped toy to be donated to the USMC Toys for Tots campaign. This yearly event partners with schools across RPS to collect toys for kids across our city who may need extra support with holiday festivities.
Each student will only be able to enter one ticket for the district-wide raffle. Donations will be accepted Monday, November 21st through Friday, December 9th, no later than 12pm. Entries received before this deadline, will qualify for the district-wide drawing. Winners will be announced at the event. Our school's goal is to completely fill two giant-sized boxes.
Whirlpool Cares Community Grant
Our Washer and Dryer is here!
A new washer and dryer has found a home here at our school. We have been awarded these items through the Care Counts™ Laundry Program by Whirlpool. This washer and dryer will be available to families to use for free so our children can attend school with clean clothes. If you would like to learn more about using the machines, please contact our social worker, Ms. Terry or any of the individuals listed below.
