Cougar Pride News
Conway Elementary School - January 9, 2022
Hello Cougar Families!
ESSC - SKIERS!!
Our first ski day is Tuesday, January 10th. Due to major construction at Cranmore many changes have been made this year to keep our students safe and out of the construction zones.
Starting Tuesday we will be moving all ESSC activity to the Arlberg Children’s Center. Important things to be aware of are:
Skis and boards need to be in the trailer at CES by 9:15 on ski days.
All students need a snack and a water bottle.
All students MUST come to school ready for the day including a helmet. Students without the necessary equipment for outdoor activities will remain at school for the day. Students will not be allowed to phone home for missing equipment. Packing bags the night before often helps the morning go more smoothly. If your child needs something (warm coat, mittens, etc) let us know as soon as possible and NOT on the first day of skiing. We do not have any extra helmets this year.
Please fill out the form below and return with your child so we know how they are getting home from skiing. The choices would be by bus, Project Succeed or Conway Rec if they are enrolled, parent pick up at CES, and parent pick up at the mountain.
Parent pick up at the mountain has moved to the Arlberg Center (see maps below) and the pick up process has changed. Pick up will begin at 3:00 (if you need your student earlier please send in a note with your student, so that we will have them available to you at that time). Parents will park in the large dirt parking lot, closest to the pedestrian bridge going towards the Arlberg Center. Parents will walk across the bridge, check in with the CES staff member at the tent to retrieve your child and their belongings. All parent pickups must check out with Mrs. Burke.
All equipment including skis, boards, helmets, and boots are expected to go home each week. They are not to be stored in school. CES is not responsible for equipment that you rent for skiing or snowboarding. ESSC charges for any rental equipment that isn’t returned at the end of the season.
SKATERS!!
