MES Back to School Parent Newsletter
Greetings MES Families, Friends, and Community!
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! We are beyond excited that you are a part of our school community! There's plenty of summer left, but in just a few short weeks, our teachers and staff will return to begin preparing their classrooms and work spaces for the return of our students.
Sparkle and Shine: This summer, our amazing custodians have worked so hard to make our school SHINE!! Hallways are glistening, spaces are decluttered, classrooms are clean, some are freshly repainted, and bathrooms look amazing. Donnie, Brenda, Missy, and Elaine work so hard and take such pride in their work. We can't wait for our students to see how beautiful our school looks!
Registration Days: No registration fees are collected at the elementary level, therefore, RCPS elementary schools will not hold registration days again this year. Please read below for information about "meet the teacher"!
Class Placements: Our teachers cannot wait to get to know their new group of students! We will send out class placements the same way we did last year. On Friday, August 12th, you will receive an email with the name of your child's teacher. Thank you for understanding that our teachers put a lot of thought into grouping students and we will not be able to make changes to class placements.
Please make sure that you have registered your child online. We will not be able to send class placements to students who are not registered for the 2022-2023 school year.
As always, if at any time you have questions, concerns, ideas, or praises, please never hesitate to share them with me. You can reach me by email or by phone at school!
Thank you for sharing your children with us. It's going to be an amazing year!
