It's That Time Of Year Again: Marquette vs Wisconsin
Message from the Principal
I am glad to say that it is that time of year for the Annual Marquette VS Wisconsin Basketball game. We know that our goal is to create a college and career mindset for all of our scholars; however, this week takes on a different context. You do not have to tell me. I know I have the unwavering support of our parent and school community (minus a few educators pictured above) to cheer Marquette on to Victory!
I want to take the time to share that Mr. Haynes was a recipient of the 2018 WEF (Waukesha Education Foundation) Grant. His proposal was utilized to acquire more learning materials for our MakerSpace.
I am thankful for our collaboration with Mr. White from Waukesha West. Each Monday his scholars come and volunteer at Prairie. There are times that we are fortunate to have one or two Prairie alumni in the group. This is the fourth year of our partnership with Waukesha West.
Congratulations, to Mr. Endsley, our School Psychologist, for receiving the School District of Waukesha Employee Recognition Award.
At next week's PTA meeting, I will be sharing our State Report Card and how to analyze the data that it produces that informs our next steps. I hope that you will be able to join us.
We are excited to open our doors and welcome you to our #BetterTogether Winter Concert. Our scholars have worked very diligently to prepare for our very first all-school concert. There is additional information about our concert below.
Finally, we have come to the close of our first trimester. We are eager to share the progress of your scholar with you. The links to the report information are listed below. Our staff is dedicated to creating a culture of high expectations and achievement around learning. Please feel free to reach out to any educator if you have any questions or celebrations you would like to share.
Have a great weekend, and GO MARQUETTE!!!

Art Room News
Thank you to all who ordered items from the Art to Remember fundraiser this year. The kids worked very hard to create bright, colorful artwork. I work closely with the company to keep prices as low as possible so that as many parents as possible can enjoy their kids' artwork for years to come. All items have been delivered to classrooms and sent home with students. I appreciate your support of the Art program at Prairie.
