Title I District Parent Advisory Council
We are currently seeking parents to serve on our Title I District Parent Advisory Council to provide feedback on Title I Programs. We have two meetings coming up this Spring to review Title I Programs and Budget. If you would like to serve on our Title I District Parent Advisory Council, please complete the Interest Form below.
Parent Resource Centers
We are implementing four Parent Resource Centers this school year at Royal Oaks, Weddington Hills, Winecoff and Wolf Meadow!
"Parent Resource Centers are dedicated to building family engagement to support children's education at home and at school by fostering collaborative relationships between the school, families and community agencies".
Parent Feedback
We are gathering feedback from parents regarding involvement opportunities and communication methods at your child's school. If you would like to provide feedback, complete the brief Parent Feedback form below.
Blended Learning
Students have been engaging in technology tools this year targeted to boost inspiration and confidence in math! Dream Box is a student-driven math learning experience that offers personalization for your child. Learn more about blended learning as we move towards personalizing content, instruction and assessment for your child.
Your child can access Dream Box at home, make sure to ask your child or child's teacher for their log-in information.
Tips for Getting Involved In Your Child's School
Project Appleseed's Six Slices of Parental Involvement outlines steps to empower parents to get involved in their child's school. Slice Number 3 is Communicating!
Establish effective communication strategies with your child's school by:
- attending parent-teacher conferences
- signing homework agendas
- using phone calls, texts, emails or notes for important information or updates
- asking questions about your child's progress
ReadyRosie
We are excited to provide Cabarrus County families with a free subscription to ReadyRosie. ReadyRosie is the first online resource that provides families with a daily, modeled activity for adults to do with children, from infancy to age six. Activities are easy, simple and fun!
