What to do this weekend?
- Mobile's Winter Wonderland- The City of Mobile will be hosting a Winter Wonderland on Saturday, December 19th from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. Come play in the snow, take pictures with Santa, and finish your Christmas shopping.

Recipe of the Week!
Chocolate Scotcheroos
Prep time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
Ready In 1 hour 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 cup Karo® Light Corn Syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 6 cups crispy rice cereal
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
Directions
- Cook corn syrup and sugar together in a large pan over medium heat, stirring to dissolve sugar. Bring mixture to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter; mix well. Add cereal; stir until evenly coated.
- Pour into greased 13x9-inch pan and pat into place.
- Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together in saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Spread over cereal.
- Cool at least 45 minutes, or until firm. Cut into bars.

- When? Saturday January 23, 2015 6 p.m - 9 p.m
- Where? Daphne Civic Center
- Dress code? Semi formal party dresses for ladies and Sunday best for the gentlemen
- DMS STUDENTS ONLY
- Cost is $25 per student, which includes dinner and all refreshments.
- Tickets will be sold January 7th - January 15th
Talent Show!
- Talent show audition money/forms are due December 18th.
- Rehearsal will be March 23rd.
- The Talent Show will be March 24th (Thursday before Spring Break).

Spelling Bee!
Our School Wide Spelling Bee will be held Thursday, January 7. The bee will begin at 9:00 and will be held in the library. Parents and/or guardians are invited to attend the spelling bee. We will announce over the intercom when it is time for students to report to the library. Refreshments will be served after the bee. Please let me or T. Taylor know if you have any questions.

What inspired you to be a teacher?
Coach Hinton said because he's a people person or likes people and wanted to interact more with them.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
He said he will be retired in 10 years.
What is your favorite thing about summers?
Coach Hinton said that he works year round but he likes being out of school for 2 months.
What has been your biggest challenge from teaching?
He said the biggest challenge would have to be the change in students or the different generations.
What are your hobbies outside of teaching?
Coach Hinton likes to fish, hunt, and coach sports like girls softball and boys football.
