A Message from the Principal
This week was a great start to the school year. I have felt so welcomed by students, staff, and the community. It is impressive to see the energy from the students and the dedication from our staff. I am excited as I think of all we can achieve together and encouraged to know that the resources we have are of quality and used responsibly to help us achieve this charge. We will continue to evaluate all that we do to monitor our ability to provide every student with a rigorous and relevant learning experience. In the end, it will be the caring nature from our entire school community that shows students we will do whatever it takes to support them as they chase their dreams into high school, college, and beyond.
With the Warmest Regards,

Please join us on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 for a Coffee Talk in the Greene School Media Center. This is a great time to connect with other families and see what's next from the PTO!
The Green Envelope
At the Greene School, all students will have a green envelope to bring home every Thursday. The envelope will contain school and community information. Rather than looking through school information on a daily basis, we hope this procedure will be a help to busy families as you become accustomed to looking for school information on Thursdays. If your child does not bring the envelope to you on Thursday, please be sure to ask for it. We ask that you empty the envelope, review the information it contains, and have your child bring the envelope back to school so that it is available for the following Thursday. A very special thank you to our PTO volunteers who helped us with the stuffing and distribution of the first day envelopes. We could not have done it without them!

Immunizations at the Junior High!
Dear Parents:
Your child will be required by law to receive certain vaccinations and provide proof of those vaccinations by Sept. 7, 2017. If your child has a well check up during his/her sixth grade year, the doctor will provide the appropriate vaccinations. We would like to encourage you to schedule a well visit now so that your child can receive his/her vaccination prior to the start of seventh grade. Summer is often busy for families and there can be a six month wait list as families flood the doctor's offices trying to get their child vaccinated by the Sept. 7th deadline. While Sept. 7, 2017 seems distant right now, the Greene and Junior High administration would like this process to be as stress-free for your families next fall as much as possible. Vaccination forms should be turned into Julie Wolf in the nurse's office.
