OCTOBER 2- WALK TO SCHOOL and COUNT DAY
Count Day- OCTOBER 2nd!!
The “count window” is September 24 - October 10, and the key student count day is Wednesday, October 2. Please help us ensure all our students are accurately counted by having your student in class that day! If your child must be absent on October 2 due to serious illness, call our attendance line, 303-806-2422 to report the absence. Attendance during the “count window” will help counteract an absence on October 2, but it’s best to come to school that day.
Walk to School Day-
Join thousands of students in celebrating the joy of walking to school on Walk to School Day. This annual event promotes safe walking and biking:
- All students who participate will receive a prize! Make sure to check in at the table and sign their name!
- Promotes traffic safety around the school and in the community.
- Increases children’s physical activity.
- Reduces pollution and traffic congestion around schools.
- Inspires parents and students to integrate walking and biking in the daily routine.
Live far away? Consider parking a few blocks away from the school in the area neighborhood and walk with your child to the playground and check in at the table to receive a prize!
