BUILDING REP ELECTIONS - SEPTEMBER!
It's the time of the year again - Building Rep Elections!
Important Info:
* Term is for one school year (September - June)
* In the event of a building rep vacancy, a new election will take place at that location within thirty (30) calendar days of the vacancy.
* After election, please have Building Rep fill out this quick form
* Please try to have all elections complete by the 15th of September.
* If you only have one para and one clerk/secretary who wish to do the job elections are unnecessary but you must check with all members. If more than one person would like to serve you will need to run an election.
Each building is entitled to two (2) building reps, one must be clerical/technical, and one must be a para-educator. There may be no more than two (2) building reps per building. The exception is JPC/Facilities. These locations include members assigned to JPC, Warehouse, Maintenance, Transportation, JPCC, and Propstra. This group will be allowed two (2) clerical/technical reps.

BENEFITS - OPEN ENROLLMENT IN OCTOBER
Open enrollment will be held from October 30 - November 20, 2023.
You can find the new rates on VERN, rates will become effective January 2024. Please be sure to look for information coming from HR.
Note: Kaiser plans have gone up significantly.
Who do I go to with Member Concerns?
If you have a member concern and need to reach out for help, first talk with your building representative. If they are unable to resolve the issue, or you don't have a building representative, please email the VAESP President, Barb.Plymate@washingtonea.org
