Information and Reminders
Grandparents Day (Please See Attached Schedule)
Our annual Grandparents day luncheon has been rescheduled for Thursday, October 12th and Friday, October 13th. We welcome all Grandparents/Parents to come out and have lunch with your Wildcat. This is also the week of the book fair. In an effort to protect our learning time, parents/grandparents won’t be allowed to take students to the Book Fair during the instructional day. I am encouraging everyone to plan ahead and take advantage of the extended Book Fair hours during the week October 9th – October 13th. Students will also be allowed to go to the book fair during their specials class period.

Fall Picture Day
Picture Day is Monday, October 16th! Please be on the lookout for ordering information in Thursday folders.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month
To signify the importance of Bullying Awareness month and we are ready to “Stomp Out Bullying!" We are asking all Wildcats to wear blue on Monday, October 2nd.
Rain Brigade (Please See Attached Information)
We need help during extremely rainy mornings in the car rider line, and we are recruiting parent volunteers to join “The Rain Brigade!” Parents who join this group will receive a text message alert between 6:30 a.m. -6:45 a.m. on mornings when the weather is extremely stormy to assist us with getting our Wildcats safely out of cars between 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. If you would like to be a parent volunteer on this list, please contact the front office and provide your name and cell phone number.
Morning Drop Off Reminders
- Cell phone usage is prohibited in the school zones and the car rider line.
- For the safety of our children and staff, please make sure you are dropping your child/children off from the car rider line or park in the front parking lot and walk your child across the crosswalk to the front doors of the school. Students should not be dropped off on the side of Macek Rd. next to the bike racks or grassy area.
- Although we can’t control traffic flow on the roads, last year we observed that traffic exiting the car rider line would move faster if everyone turned right onto Macek Rd., drove up to Arbor Ranch Drive(The second intersection) and turned right to get back to FM 2759.
- School starts at 7:30 a.m daily. On days when the weather is stormy, leaving a few minutes early is recommended to help decrease the likelihood of tardiness.
- The front parking lot is not to be used as an additional area to drop students off in the same fashion as one would drop students off from the car rider line. District transportation is highly encouraged. If you would like bus route information, you may access the following link.
- (New) If your child is late to school and it is past 7:35 a.m.,please walk them into the front office to check your child into school. Remember students are considered tardy if they are not in their classrooms when the 7:30 a.m. bell rings.
- Make sure you are letting students out on the passenger side of your vehicle.
- Please take time to review our new tardy policy in our parent/student handbook as well as in the letter given to parents.
Thanks for your cooperation with helping to keep our Wildcats safe!
