Clubs
NJHS- Starting to collect dues.
TSA- TSA will be electing officers and voting on a t-shirt design at their next meeting on October 14. They will also be starting their first fundraiser soon.
Fleurettes- The next Fleurettes meeting will be October 7. Some members still need to pay their dues so that t-shirt orders can be placed. The Fleurettes will begin their first fundraiser soon.
Yoga Club- The Yoga Club at Daphne Middle School is still going strong and meeting every Wednesday after school.
Electives
Art (Bittinger): Students will create a falling character using a foreshortening technique.
They will create a situation as to why they are falling.
Family & Consumer Science (K. Taylor):
Students will learn table manners and start to study cooking.
Peer Helpers (Blake): Students will begin training Monday.
Suicide Prevention: Best Practices to Implement at Home, School & Work
Review and discuss positive methods to build a community within your home or organization where everyone feels safe to discuss issues and how to get help. We will also discuss the consequences of non-action, and making a difference through legislation.21st Century Skills (Pearson): Students will work on their blogs, and go through quicktime tutorials.
Choir (Trawick): Ragtime Musical.
Band (Thomas): Students will site read christmas music and practice pep rally songs. Students will also test on all county song, and finish scale test.
MEET MRS. SHERRY BITTINGER
If you weren't a teacher what would you want to be?
Mrs. Bittinger said that she wanted to be a part of the law enforcement or a part of the military.
If you could go anywhere this upcoming summer where would you go?
She said that she would want to go to Rome if she could go anywhere.
Where did you go to college? What degrees do you have?
Mrs. Bittinger went to the University of West Florida. She also got a Bachelors degree in Art Education grades k-12.
How old were you when you decided to be a teacher?
She said that when she wanted to be a teacher at the age of 5!

Why do you think you lost the Game?
“I believe we lost because we got caught in the moment. We went in thinking we didn’t have a chance of winning against a 3 year undefeated team.”
What do you think the team should do to win?
“We need to communicate more , get our passes straight to the setter , and be more aggressive.”
What do you think you should do as captain to get the win next time?
“I feel like I should keep the girls from having negative attitudes (eye rolling , negative comments , talking back to the coach , and sarcasm. )
