Pooled Testing
When will pooled testing begin?
Pooled testing is scheduled to start the week of October 18th at Wentworth School.
What will pooled testing look like for my child?
Please watch this one minute video with your child that demonstrates how the swab will be self-administered. If able, practice with a Q-tip at home to help prepare them for next week.
How do I enroll in pooled testing?
Thank you to everyone who has already enrolled their child in pooled testing.
For families who have not yet enrolled, you may choose to enroll your child in pooled testing at any time. The deadline for enrollment to be part of the following week’s pool is on Thursday.
Below you will find the consent form with permission to perform a COVID-19 pooled test. The sign-up process should not take any longer than 5 minutes for you to complete using a computer or smartphone. The district has paper copies (in multiple languages) available if you would like to consent on paper instead of electronically. If you need to provide consent for more than one child, please complete the process separately for each child. Click on the link below to access the online consent form. For a screen by screen visual of the sign up process, please click here.
To enroll your child please click here
Here are the access codes that you will need to input for the school your child attends:
Scarborough High School: RED-STORM
Scarborough Middle School MIDDLE
Wentworth School WENTWORTH
Blue Point School BLUE-POINT
Eight Corners School 8-CORNERS
Pleasant Hill School PLEASANT
PLEASE NOTE: Individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 90 days should wait to complete this form and shouldn’t participate in pooled testing until they are 90 day past the positive test date.
What happens if my child's pool tests positive?
In the event of a positive pool, a designated school employee will call the parents/guardians of those students in the positive pool. The designated school employee will inform the parent that their child’s ‘pool’ was positive and students within the positive pool will receive a rapid antigen test that day.
The rapid antigen test will be administered by the school's nurse and the student, if able. The swabbing instructions for the rapid antigen test is the same as the pooled PCR test.
- If the rapid antigen test result is negative, your child will remain in school.
- If the test is positive, the parent of the positive student will be contacted and asked to pick up their child. Further guidance will be provided at that time.
Following the rapid antigen testing, you will only hear from the school’s nurse if your child has tested positive or if during the contact tracing process has been identified as a close contact. Being part of a positive pool does not mean that your child will be identified as a close contact to the positive case.
VERY IMPORTANT...
Pooled testing is only intended for asymptomatic students. If your student is showing any symptoms of Covid-19 they should not come to school even if it is a pooled testing day. Families should use the pre-screening tool each morning to decide if your child is well enough to attend school. Please reach out to your child’s school nurse if you have questions and for further guidance.

Flu Vaccine Clinic
Dear Wentworth School Families,
Wentworth School will be having an influenza vaccination clinic on Tuesday, October 26th at 8:00 a.m. We will be partnering with Northern Light Home Care & Hospice to provide this clinic for our students. Please click on the link below and complete the consent form by October 19th. You must type something into all highlighted fields, so please use NA if it doesn’t apply. Although the vaccine is provided at no charge, there is a cost to administer the vaccine. We appreciate it if you include accurate insurance information. Children presenting with an incomplete form will not receive their vaccine. There is no out of pocket cost and those without insurance will be vaccinated with the appropriate form completed.
