BDU Juniors Dominate BPA with Sponsor, Ms. France!
BDU Juniors Francisco Guerra and Clara Valentine competed against other students in Business Professionals of America (BPA) for a position on the Regional and State leadership team under the guidance of BPA staff sponsor Wendy France.
Francisco took a test over BPA knowledge and history, interviewed with the current State leadership team, and presented a speech to the State Leadership executive board members. Based on his test score, interview, and speech Francisco won over his competitor to secure the BPA District 8 Region President position for the school year 2017-18. Francisco will lead our BPA district (the largest district in the state) which includes many local schools including Ben Davis, Pike, Zionsville, Avon, Martinsville, Center Grove, Franklin Central, Franklin Community, and several other schools. What an amazing leadership opportunity!
Clara went through the same rigorous process to successfully advance to the next step to run for a State Leadership position. Clara prepared and presented a 2-minute speech on Sunday, March 14th, when we attended BPA SLC (state leadership conference) in front of more than 100 of her peers. She was voted Vice President of Public Relations!
Congratulations, BPA Scholars!
