Stowe Newsletter 1/12/23
NO SCHOOL - Monday, Jan 15 & Monday, Jan 22
There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 15th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
There will also be NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 22nd for staff development and the end of the semester.
Martin Luther King Day is observed every year on the third Monday of January. Dr. King was an influential civil rights leader who was best known for his work on racial equality and ending racial segregation in the United States. His life and achievements are remembered and celebrated on this day.
We can't believe the fall semester is wrapping up already. We will have no school on Monday, January 22nd, for staff development. Teachers will be finishing up report cards and they will be mailed to families before spring conferences on February 6th and 8th.
Parent Square - Coming Soon!
Duluth Public Schools will start using ParentSquare to communicate with families beginning Jan. 23
Dear Families,
We are excited to announce that we adopted a new form of school-to-home communication at Duluth Public Schools called ParentSquare. This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection with Duluth Public Schools. It provides a safe way for district administrators, school principals, teachers, staff, and parents to:
Send and receive school and class information
Share pictures and files
See calendar items
Sign up to volunteer
Schedule parent-teacher conferences
and much more . . . all in one centralized place!
All district communication will now be sent to your computer or phone via email and/or text. For even more convenience, download the ParentSquare app (available for free for iOS and Android devices).
Have questions? Click the question mark in the top right corner of the desktop version or the Help tab on the app (tap the triple bar icon at the top left) to find answers to most of your questions.
If you have further questions please feel free to email communications@isd709.org.
What We've Been Up To...

Ever year, our staff compete for the best bowl of chili at our annual Staff Chili Cook Off potluck. This competition is FIERCE! The winners this year were a tie between Ms. Autumn (Bulldog Support Para) and Mrs. Rodberg (Intervention).

We practice a hand-to-hand exchange at the elementary level. If your student is arriving late or is being picked up early, an adult must come into the building with them and sign them out in the office.
