Twin Peaks Middle School
Weekly RAM Newsletter
A Brief Note from Dr. Burke
Dear Ram families,
The 6th Grade Camp Butter Braid fundraiser continues this week. This is a great way for students to help offset the cost of camp. And this Wednesday and Thursday, our TPMS Band is hosting its own fundraiser at El Ranchito Taco Shop on Poway Rd. Be sure to present this flyer when you purchase.
Last week you received notification about a suicide prevention presentation that will take place for students next week. I want to encourage all parents/guardians to attend the parent workshop With Hope this Wednesday from 6-7:15 in the Little Theater. If you would like to review the information, please visit the With Hope, The Amber Craig Memorial Foundation website by clicking here.
The PTSA is working hard on our programs this school year but they need your help! From the Reflections Art Program and the Study Skills workshop currently underway, to the spring Scholastic Book Fair and Academic Awards in June, the school year is full of other programs like Campus Culture, Character Counts, Teacher/Staff Appreciation Events and the TIP (Totally Incredible Person) program. All of these programs help the PTSA to reach its goal of supporting the Twin Peaks staff in our efforts to build a more inclusive community for all learners and guide students in “The Ram Way”. None of this is possible without your support and partnership. Please consider joining the PTSA, making a direct donation and/or volunteering. 100% of your direct donations stay right here at Twin Peaks. Adult and student memberships are only $10 each. You can now join and donate online or print the membership/donation form and submit it to the office. Both options are accessible on the PTSA website where you may also view a detailed list of their programs. Together, we can reach our goals and give our kids an outstanding educational experience at Twin Peaks. Thank you!
I will close with a reminder to please have your student turn in his or her Federal Survey Form to their Ram teacher. The completion of this form allows our school district to obtain additional revenues, which, if not applied for, are assigned to other school districts throughout the nation. All forms are due by this Friday.
That’s it for now. I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow and remember it's a 6/2/4 day.
Sincerely,
Dr. Burke
