Spring Break 2022/IAR Testing
When we return from break, we also will be taking the Illinois Assessment of Readiness. The Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) is the state assessment, and accountability measure for Illinois students enrolled in a public school district. IAR assesses the New Illinois Learning Standards Incorporating the Common Core. Students will be tested in ELA and Mathematics.
Students will test at 9:00 am on Tuesday-Thursday starting 3/29 and the following week on Tuesday & Wednesday 4/5 & 4/6. Please be sure that your students get a good night's sleep the night before the test, have a charged iPad, and have a healthy breakfast. Scores from these tests are not reported until the summer.
Please see the PDF below for the exact schedule for the testing days.
Reminders
It is essential that students be in attendance at school regularly. It is hard to catch up when students are absent for multiple days. It is also crucial to come to school on time so that they are not missing instruction.
Please remind your students that their iPads are district devices meant for school purposes only, and they should not be taking pictures of non-curriculum items with their iPads.
Students should only bring water in their water bottles.
Students should not use earbuds unless for a specific class activity as instructed by their teacher.
