Is My Child Well Enough?
It's the time of year where sickness comes and doesn't always truly leave. Please review with your students how to wash their hands properly (and often!) and to cover their coughs and sneezes. Here is a helpful guide from the district office on if you should send your child to school or not.
To report an absence due to illness, please call the school line at 218-336-8965 and press 2 for the attendance line. Leave a message indicating your child is sick and basic symptoms they have (this helps us code and track different types of illnesses).

What We've Been Up To...
Kid's Heart Challenge
Stowe students participated in the Kids Heart Challenge during the month of January. In PE class, students did many different jumping, hopping and leaping skills using jump ropes, mini trampolines, pogo balls, pogo sticks, hippity hops, twirl sticks, hopscotch and more.
Students learned about the workings of their hearts by being a red blood cell and traveling through an obstacle course called the Heart Adventure.
Students participated in a jump rope ninja challenge and several students qualified for the black belt by jumping 100 times or more without a miss. Lila H. jumped 387 times without a miss!
Aside from working on their own health goals some students raised money for the American Heart Association by collecting donations to help others. Nina L was the school's top fundraiser and Mrs. Tokarcyzk's class won an extra PE time.
Overall the school raised $960.14 for the American Heart Association.
