All parents/guardians of middle school students will be able to view their students' schedule for the 2023-24 school year at 4 PM on August 8th in Skyward. 6th Grade students will receive their printed schedules at Falcon Camp on August 7th. Any new or returning 7th or 8th grade student that does not have printing capability at home, will have the opportunity to pick up a hard copy of their schedule at Campus Tour Night which will be held on August 8th from 5PM until 6PM. Students' schedule information will be accessible in Skyward Family Access.

If you need assistance with your Family Access log-in on August 9th, please contact the front office at 940-497-4037 and they will be able to assist you. If you see your schedule and are considering requesting a change, please see our Schedule Change Request Policy.

With your Skyward Family Access, you will be able to add money to your child's cafeteria account, check grades, and view progress reports, report cards, and attendance information.

NOTE: If you have not completed your returning student enrollment in skyward or if your student is not up to date with their immunization, your student will not be able to attend the first day of school.

Dear LDMS Falcon Family,

Hello and welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! My name is Dr. Kendrick Johnson and it is with great pleasure to be writing this year’s first newsletter as your new Lake Dallas Middle School Principal. I am honored to join the administrative team of a district that is dedicated to academic excellence for all of its students. For the past six years, I served as an assistant principal at the middle and high school levels, as well as another nine years as an assistant band director at the middle school level. In those years, my understanding of the family unit has grown as I am now a husband to my beautiful wife and a father to a vibrant little boy. I am beyond excited to be sharing my passion with my new LDMS family of creating an atmosphere where all students will be exposed to educational experiences that rival the best in the state. I am confident that my role as principal will allow me to work with all of our students to ensure a high level of engagement, personal growth, and a relentless pursuit of academic success.

Over the summer, I have met countlessly with the administrative team and staff members to identify areas of growth while honoring the work that has been done before me. You can expect that I will continue to work with our talented teachers to ensure that your child(ren) has the resources and support they need to reach their full potential. Our amazing teachers will continue to offer our students world-class instruction that not only prepares our students for LDHS but also gives them the support they may need for any challenges beyond our Lake Cities community.

In addition to working with our students, I am excited to develop a partnership with each of you. I assure you that my door is always open, and I welcome your positive contributions to the LDMS learning community. My main goal is that our collaboration fosters the absolute best learning experience for your student(s). Lake Dallas Middle School Principal

On July 25-27 the LDMS Advanced Bands had rehearsals to prepare for the upcoming semester. Students rehearsed and got organized with the help of their band directors, Mrs. May, Mr. Kimmons, and Mr. Garza.

Members of the LDMS Student Council have been hard at work getting the school ready to go for the 22-23 year. They have worked on boards, hung signage, and helped in teacher classrooms. We couldn't do it without them!

Morning drop-off starts at 7:45 AM and the tardy bell rings at 8:25 AM.

Dismissal begins at 3:55 PM.
