Book Bags
Just a reminder to have your child read his/her book bag each weekend and return by Wednesday the following week.
Also, know that most of the books should be on your child's level but at times you may get a book that is too easy/hard and it's ok.
Snowman at Night
We also did a fun snowman project that will be hanging in our halls.
Book Orders
This month's order is due on Tuesday January 21st.
GO VIKINGS!!
What did we learn this week?
Writing:This week we learned how to put the "where" in our stories. We also learned a new editing strategy called "green light, red light" where students make sure each sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with a period.
Phonics: We learned the poem "My Eyes Can See" and the students found rhyming and HFW. We continued to work on Consonant, Vowel, Consonant words (CVC words). We also found words that belonged in the -an word family.
Math: This week we worked on addition story problems. This is something we did all together. The story problems had similar themes from the book "Snowman at Night."
