TOMORROW, MAY 25, IS THE LAST DAY OF OUR 2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR
Fall Creek Fish,
Another year in the books…… What an exciting year it has been! We were able to incorporate Innovation class into our specials rotation allowing you to explore, create and imagine. We also got to experience the solar eclipse. What a cool once in a lifetime experience! We were able to continue with the expansion of our outdoor learning spaces by creating a trail in the woods behind the school and also bring a chicken coop to FCE. We look forward to continue being science and nature explorers next year. We had a successful, fun Field Day this week thanks to our many PTO volunteers, and a wonderful Kindy 500 today. I am so proud of each of you for persevering through the 2017-18 school year. While it’s summer, I’m sure it will still be full of multiple learning experiences for you! We look forward to seeing you next school year! Best of luck to our 4th grade students as a new adventure starts for you next year in intermediate school. Be sure to check the FCE website for Supply List information. Watch for important emails from Principal Jackson a couple weeks before school starts. Please go into Skyward and update any telephone number changes, or emergency contact changes over the summer. The office will remain open through June 11, and reopen on July 24. Have a well-deserved, restful summer break.
Important Summer Dates:
8/02/18 KINDERGARTEN BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT

Message from Mrs. Meyer
Congratulations to our FCE Guiding All Kids Steering Team, Teachers, Staff and Parents!
The School Counseling Program Portfolio that FCE developed through the Redesigning School Counseling / Guiding All Kids process with the American Student Achievement Institute has been approved for the Indiana Gold Star School Counseling Award! There was a tremendous amount of work that was done to reach this honor. FCE school exhibits the highest level of school counseling professionalism in Indiana by meeting or exceeding the Indiana School Counseling Program Standards. The Gold Star designation is also recognized nationally through the American School Counselor Association’s highest award - the RAMP Award for Recognized ASCA Model Programs.
THANK YOU BROWNIE TROOP 676!
Thank you to Brownie Troop 676 - they raised and donated $600 toward our new FCE playground. WE APPRECIATE YOU!

Student Council would like to thank all who participated in the Leukemia and Lymphoma's Pennies for Patients Campaign over the last two weeks.
This was Fall Creek's 4th year to participate. Our goal for this year was $3,000. Thanks to your generosity we were able to collect, $3,066.35....beating our goal!!!! That is awesome Fall Creek!!! That means in 4 years we were able to raise over $12,000 for Leukemia and Lymphoma!!!!!
The top three classes in the school were:
In third place with $246.14...Mrs. Stoeffler's First Grade...they were bringing in coins at the last minute that they found on their field trip on Friday:)
In second place with $320.52...Mrs. Ley's Fourth Grade Class.
And in first place with a whopping $483.15...Mr. Villanyi's class! Mrs. Villanyi's class has won either a pizza or Olive Garden party as our first place winners. Thank you again for ALL of your donations...every penny counts and Student Council can't thank you enough!!!
Registration is open for the HSE Preschool!
Are you looking for a preschool program for your 3- to 5-year-old? HSE offers half-day preschool classes at Brooks School Elementary, Hoosier Road Elementary, Sand Creek Elementary and Sand Creek Intermediate.
Each class is taught by a licensed teacher, and an instructional assistant also aids the children. Class sizes remain small with no more than 18 students in a room. The times are 8:30-11:30 a.m. or 12:30-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Some families prefer the five-day option. The tuition cost is $300 per month. Others prefer fewer days per week. Families may also select two days per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays) for $120 per month or three days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) for $180 per month. There is also a yearly $90 supply fee.
