Twin Peaks Middle School
Weekly RAM Newsletter
A Brief Note from Dr. Burke
We weathered quite a storm this week...at least as far as San Diego is concerned. This issue of our weekly update is dedicated to the Twin Peaks Foundation. For those of you who don't know, this past year our Foundation raised money to replace the grass in the quad with synthetic turf. The students have enjoyed sitting on it during lunch, playing cards, reading, playing their instruments and just hanging out with friends. But this week was the first time they experienced the turf during inclement weather. It was amazing! Seriously, you may think I'm exaggerating, but in the past we had to keep kids off the grass because it was a muddy, slippery mess. This week, our only challenge was trying to keep a few of our cherubs from trying to see if they could skid across it on their bellies. Ah...the joys of middle school. Anyway, to the members of the Foundation, and all of you who donated to this effort, on behalf of our staff and students, thank you once again. You really made a difference.
I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow and remember, it's a 4/6/2 day.
Sincerely,
Dr. Burke
