Classroom Happenings
ELA: Mrs. Day & Mrs.Goosen
Each student has been assigned their Non Fiction book club books. We started reading and writing down information they find fascinating. We discussed book club expectations and how to have rich conversations.
If you would like to support our classroom library, please visit our class Amazon Wish List (Day) or Amazon Wish List (Goosen). Thank you for your support!
Science: Mr. Geringer & Mrs. Oliver
Students worked hard during class this week to build models of their Mission to Mars solution, then presented these to the class “Shark Tank” style. Their challenge was to convince their audience that the astronauts going to Mars need their solution.
Social Studies: Mrs. Goosen & Mr. Landolt
Students reviewed the 5 major world religions that are present in society today. They then took their formative assessment, and are beginning to discuss their summative projects for this unit.
Students will choose a world religion to study, and begin to prepare a presentation in which they can describe a week in the life of an individual that practices that religion.
