Elementary Virtual Academy
February 16th, 2021
I hope you all stayed safe and enjoyed the storm this weekend and had a wonderful Valentine's and President's Day. As we are tackling the second half of the month, remember to keep going strong with school routines! I know power outages, snow, and holidays can be a bit of a distraction from school. I don't have anything new to add to our newsletter, but feel free to read through to get google meet information, reminders, and resources!

Schedule Changes
Since middle school is now back to hybrid in person learning, I am teaching Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in person from 8:50 to 11:30. You are more than welcome to contact me for support during that time, but please be mindful I may not be able to get back to you immediately. If you have an urgent concern, you may contact the front office of Columbia Crest. You will find the information at the bottom of this newsletter.
February Work
We've made it halfway through the year! For those of you that started with the program, your student should be about half way (or more) through all of the content. Please remember our goals to completed 30-45 minutes of work per subject area each day. Our goal for February is about 45-50 hours of productive work time, minimum.
Social Emotional Learning
Our Counselor at Columbia Crest has created a website for her social emotional lessons she has created. Feel free to also access her Counselor Corner website that includes mindfulness exercises, a digital library of books that she has read and extra games/lessons on various social emotional topics they can use anytime.
Music Bags & Workbook Kits
There are 6 music grab bags still available for EVA students. They will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. If you are interested in one of these, please email as soon as possible to claim one. We can coordinate pick up at that point. If you still need to pick up workbook kits, I can combine them for you.
Join our Google Classroom!
Click here to join the EVA google classroom for extra resources if you haven't already done so!
Book Check out Program
We are now able to allow students to come to our school library and check out books. If you are interested in this, please read this information from Mrs. Shew to learn more.
Contacting Me
Please feel free to contact me via email, text, or phone call. I am also happy to set up a google meet if you'd like a more face-to-face option.
