Greetings Baker Families!
First, I want to thank you all so much for your patience as I get to know the Baker community. I was able to meet many of you one-on-one and everyone gave me invaluable input on things you want to see continue and things you want us to improve. If we did not get an opportunity to meet and you would still like to, please email me at ebass2@houstonisd.org and we will get a time set up.
Second, as many of you know, I had a trip planned with my grandmother right after I accepted this principalship. I am finally back, but while we had a wonderful time, I did test positive for COVID shortly after getting home. Please continue to do what you can to keep yourselves and your families safe as we see the surge of this new variant.
Third, you will be happy to know that I have already started my Montessori administrator training with Gulf Coast Montessori. I know how important it is to the community to have a Montessori-certified principal and while I have a long way to go, I have learned much already!
Fourth, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of the great things happening at Baker.

School Supply Guidance
The supply fee is collected by the Baker PTO for each student to cover the direct costs of classroom supplies and materials unique to the Montessori classroom. This includes everything from replacement Montessori materials to basic classroom materials. This Supply Fee prevents the teachers from having to pay out of pocket for classroom supplies and prevents each family from having to spend money on school supplies individually. Each teacher receives an annual budget from the PTO for supplies which are paid for by your supply fee.
You can pay your child's supply fee at the following link or using the QR code: https://bakerpto.ptboard.com/formvw?store=2972&form=2
If your family is in a position to do so, please feel free to contribute extra supply fees in support of our community that may be currently unable to pay the supply fee.
Need a supply fee waiver? Please submit a Student Assistance Form (SAF) below:
