MERMS WEEKLY 12/9/16
Manchester-Essex Regional Middle School Newsletter
What a great community!
As you'll see below, our students enjoyed an engaging and educational presentation by the Museum of Science this week. This extra curricular extension was completely funded by PMEMS parent dues!
In addition, teacher wish list items have been pouring in! It definitely feels like the Holiday Season around here because we're getting presents every day!
This is an amazing community in which to teach and learn alongside your children. The educators of MERMS cannot thank you all enough for your support!
Museum of Science Assembly
The Museum of Science did an excellent job presenting the topic of thermodynamics with demonstrations featuring cryogenic liquids and combustion. Students were engaged, participative, and confidently knowledgeable!
This assembly was fully funded by PMEMS Dues -- thank you parents and families!

Other students who reached double digits with 10 points included 6th grader TJ Brunner, 7th graders Camilla Johnson, Carson Komishane, Sam Rosen, Sean Vendt, and Julia Friends, and 8th grader Lily Athanas. 6th graders Sam Athanas and Marco Bussone scored 8 points apiece. A strong effort in the Team Round vaulted Team One into third place with an even 100 points!
We are looking forward to the next meet of the season which will be Thursday, January 12, at Rockport. Practice sheets will be available from Mr. Stefanek by the end of next week. Both new and returning students are welcome!
Thanks to all students for working hard and having fun at yesterday's Math Meet, and thank you Mr. Stefanek for coordinating our efforts!

Reminders around holidays and student absences
Upon return from all unexcused absences, it is the student's responsibility to seek work from teachers and make up any work missed that is still permitted to be completed.
