July Chapter Member Meeting
At our July member meeting, we highlighting the work of fellow Sigma member and ACE Alumni Jessica Rhoden! Jessica graduated in 2021 with her MSN in Nursing Education.
Jessica is passionate about perinatal nursing and ensuring that nurses on the front lines of care are well-prepared, educated, and equipped to deliver the best care possible. Over the last year, Jessica has been working as a catalyst of change in her field and shared strategies on how to work to solve real problems in the healthcare community!

Sigma Spotlight August: Alpha Beta Phi Chapter
In each newsletter, we will bring you a special spotlight interview with Sigma movers and shakers! This could be you!! If you are doing something special and you would like to share, please fill out this brief survey and let us know!
This month, we are bringing to you, Dr. Carole Liske. Dr. Liske served as a clinical and academic leader throughout her career and currently serves as an award winning MSN Program Manager at WGU. She works collaboratively with her accomplished 24 member faculty team to support over 4500 students in 16 MSN Core and Nursing Informatics Specialty Courses.
An active member of Sigma, Carole served in elected and appointed positions and the international, regional, and local levels. At the international level, she currently serves on the Sigma Board of Directors and chairs the Regional Chapters Coordinating Committee. In the past she has chaired the Sigma International Digital Transformation Advisory Task Force to the Sigma Board as well as the Next Generation Leaders Task Force. Carole formerly served as a member of the International Research Congress Planning Committee, the Foundation Fellows Committee, and two Membership Engagement Task Forces. Carole maintains active membership in five chapters, is the Past-President of two chapters, and currently President pf Psi Upsilon Chapter of Sigma- a Region 3 Chapter! Carole is a Sigma Virginia Henderson Fellow and as a philanthropist demonstrating ongoing commitment to the financial support of scholarly activities and global nursing research.
Carole's commitment to Sigma and her professional collaboration with the 21 Regional Coordinators has furthered their efforts to support out global network of Sigma chapters, the members they serve, and ALL nurses worldwide. Her efforts to ensure nursing excellence and "Joy in Work" is reflected in her leadership philosophy and scholarly presentations. Carole's passion for advocacy and joy is also foundational to her current research on joy and mentoring in nursing. She continues to focus on inspiring and motivating professional colleagues to actively engage in "joyful" professional collaboration and development.

In September, we will host our bi-monthly chapter member meeting!
Our next member meeting will be September 12th at 7pm EST. In September we will begin bi-monthly member inductions at the start of each meeting so the time frame has been extended from 30 to 45 minutes. A Zoom calendar invitation will be sent but here is a link as well:
