Say Cheese: Picture Day is Coming!
Our drive through Mustang picture day is coming! Mustang picture days will be on Thursday October 22 and Friday October 23. Students will be allowed to get out of the car to take a quick picture and get a Mustang ID card on the spot. Students should arrive at Meadowbrook during the designated window on the designed day to take pictures.
Students will be expected to complete asynchronous work assigned by teachers. Attendance will be based on asynchronous work completion. Teachers will be available via zoom the first 30 minutes of each period.

October 26: Non-Student Day/ Parent Teacher Conferences
Red Ribbon Week
Meadowbrook will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week 2020 from Monday, October 26 through Friday, October 30.
We will have virtual Red Ribbon themed announcements, videos, and activities.
This year's theme is "Be Happy BE Brave BE DRUG FREE" and the goal is to encourage kids, families, and communities to live healthy, happy drug-free lives, while at the same time shaping our community through positivity, bravery, and strength.

Meadowbrook Educational Foundation Family Donation Drive
Meadowbrook Educational Foundation would like to request a donation for each child to fund STEAM, Technology Resources, Infrastructure, and overall support to Meadowbrook. As a family community when we combine our individual donations to the school, we contribute to the needs to our students’ educational experiences throughout these precious middle school years. Please note any amount you contribute is greatly appreciated! No contribution is too small, every dollar makes a difference.
A donation of $50.00 or more, your student will receive a Mustang spirit wear t-shirt!

Purchased Mustang Discount Card - Important Instructions
Thank you for your purchase! Your card will work over and over for one year. Just show your card at the register and the merchant should apply the discount and return the card to you. The Card folds in half for your convenience.
DICK’S Sporting Goods discounts work by showing your card at the register AND pulling up the Dick’s Sporting goods logo seen below. The link is located on the Meadowbrook Educational Foundation website. Find the foundation website by going to Meadowbrook’s website which has a link to the foundation (usually a blue box at the bottom of the main page). Once on the foundation site, simply click the logo and a coupon and barcode will flash up on your phone and the clerk can scan your coupon.

Science Olympiad
Does your student love science, building things or curious about how things work? Are you interested in getting your student involved in STEM activities?: All MBMS students and parents invited to participate in Meadowbrook Science Olympiad program, the registration is open with deadline to sign up October, 11th, please go to http://www.meadowbrookso.org/ to watch informational video and learn more about the program and events.
Science Olympiad is a national competition designed to increase students’ interest in science, teach them in-depth on the subject matter, and to provide recognition for outstanding achievement across several science disciplines. Meadowbrook’s successful program has consistently secured top-ranking placements in both San Diego and State levels. More information is located on our website - www.meadowbrookso.org.

We are excited to launch the new Parent Academy, a series of videos and informational guides on many of our PUSD technology tools. Videos and resource guides will continue to be added to the Parent Academy so be sure to check back often.
Tech Support for Students and Families
To ensure support and assistance for all of our PUSD students and families, the IT Department will be offering additional tech support beginning September 2. Please
email pusdithelp@powayusd.com if you need assistance with Canvas, MyPLAN, Zoom, or Chromebooks.

The Meadowbrook office will be open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00am - 12:00pm for walk-ins. The office phone line will be answered Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 12:00pm. Ph# (858) 748-0802.

Membership is vital to our PTSA, especially during COVID, where we will be remote learning. Your membership helps us provide Meadowbrook with programs and services that would not exist otherwise: Student Recognition, Career Fair, Honor Roll, 7th & 8th Grade End of Year Events, Reflections, Volunteer Recognition, Staff Appreciation and much more. This year, our focus is on connecting our students to their school, staff, and each other.
