Welcome the new year with a new look in your classroom
When students return to Jefferson, they will be greeted with several upgrades. We have new curtains on the stage, the gym floors have been resurfaced, and several other items have been updated. Of particular note, every classroom at Jefferson has been painted by our amazing maintenance crew with three walls in white and one accent wall. The 6th and 8th Grade hallways have a yellow accent wall while the 7th grade and FPA hallways received a blue accent wall. Working with D45, we then created some spectacular designs to cover all the Univents in each classroom.
Each classroom now has a dedicated wall for school and student spirit (see pictures below). On the white classroom walls, have their curricular items such as maps, formulas, equations, academic posters, etc. On the yellow or blue wall, teachers will showcase items related to school spirit and/or student achievement. These could be the class MVP students, students of the month, the soccer team, volleyball team, math contest winners, Drama club performance, Outdoor Ed, Music performances, service projects, etc. The purpose of the accent wall is to promote and celebrate the students involved in positive engagement at school and in our community and make it visible for our students to see it in each classroom all day long. When we are able to have students back in-person, we can't wait for them to see all we have prepared for them.
