P.E. News
The month of September was great to be outside! We had lots of fun in our Frisbee unit playing ultimate Frisbee and disk golf that we called frolf. By the way, there is a free disc golf course next to the Civic Center in Boulder Hill. We then worked hard in our soccer unit. I saw many students using the skills of trapping, dribbling and passing. Next week we start our football unit!
**Please help your child learn how to tie their shoes.
**Please have a separate pair of gym shoes for P.E., so your child is able to participate.
The P.E. department is excited for our annual W.O.W., see you October 5th!!
Students& Parents-join us in the TerraCycle Drink Pouch Brigade!
TerraCycle upcycles and recycles traditional waste including drink pouches (such as Capri Sun, Kool Aid, Honest Kids, etc.) into a variety of consumer products. These products keep waste out of our landfills and contribute to a cleaner world. Here at Prairie Point, there are two easy ways to collect juice pouches at school and at home.
Students: After your lunch, simply place your empty pouches in the collection bin in the school cafeteria. No need to remove the straws!
Parents: Save your pouches at home and stop into the school foyer and deposit them into the Capri Sun collection box. Also-remind your child to place them in the collection bin during their lunch period.
Together we can help save the planet and earn money for our school.
Small efforts can make a difference!
