FUN RUN Fundraiser
Our official kick off is Monday October 2nd but WAIT...you can start pledging our class on MONDAY!!!! (Sept 30th) All you need to do is go to funrun.com and find our school and Ms. Rutter. You pledge by the amount of laps your child will run on October 15th! Each classroom has come up with incentives for their classroom as we earn pledges. (more specific information to come soon)
There is also school wide incentives as well. IF we meet our school goal ($25,000) then we get to make Mr. Bjerken and Mr. Orchard into sundaes!
Last, this is a really fun day and families are encouraged to come! So mark your calendars and come support Ms. Rutters ___________(name and flag still to come) on that day! When I get the information I will let you know on specific time.
Let me know if you have any questions and let the pledging begin!!!
What did we learn this week?
Writing: I continued modeling the the writing process. (Think, Draw, Say and Test, Clap and Count, Write) The students are orally telling me their sentence by clapping and counting while stating the "Who" and "Did What?" Next week the students also began drawing lines for words in their sentences followed by beginning sounds in words. It is so exciting to see the progress!
Phonics: We continued practicing the sounds our zoo friends make and we also began learning "snap words." The words we learned this week were; I, to, the.
We also learned the poem "Jack and Jill." We continued our work with rhyming words.
Math: We finished the numbers 9-10 and talked about different ways we see that number. We created a chart and showed each number in different ways. (cubes, dominos, tallies, finger flashing, and ten-frames)
